Mid-Atlantic Drones is the area's premiere aerial drone service provider specializing in controlled and restricted airspace, including DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON, DC and the DC Flight Restricted Zone. Winner of FOUR EMMY AWARDS, we are experts in aerial imaging for construction, cinematic drone footage, real estate marketing, aerial photo and video for inspection, marketing and much more.
The two owners of Mid-Atlantic Drones, Mike Sobola and Luisa Winters, are both manned aircraft pilots with a deep understanding of aviation safety, procedures and terminology. These factors give us a significant advantage over other drone service providers, especially when applying for FAA Authorizations and Waivers. Mid-Atlantic Drones consistently obtains authorizations and permits to fly in Controlled Airspace and Flight Restricted Zones, including the heavily-restricted DC-Flight Restricted Zone that encompasses downtown Washington, DC to 15 miles out from National Airport.
